Individual Immersion Homestay Program
Duration: 1 week – 1 month
Participant age: Teenager to Young Adult
Timeframe: Year round
Program: Participants in this program are immersed in the daily life an American Host Family. Full immersion in the activities of the American household provides the structure of the program.
Participants are orientated and guided on how to get the best out of their experience by the local ERDT enVision program coordinator. The Individual Immersion Homestay Program provides an opportunity to create an enriching cross-cultural learning experience for both student and Host Family. For the participant, this is a real interactive cultural exchange enhanced by language improvement/acquisition.
Participants are expected to fully participate in the everyday life of the American Host Family. They will be involved in all aspects of the family’s daily life, from performing daily chores to joining the family in their regular social activities.
If a participant is invited to join a full-day activity (e.g. Disneyland, Universal Studios, museum), the participant is responsible for their own costs (entry fees, meals, etc.).
